| For Amber's birthday she requested a new
quilt. We chose the pattern and colors out together. |
Christmas 2009 flannel lap quilt. I designed it myself! Hand quilted. |

| This is the quilt I made for my brother-in-law's wedding June 2009. They didn't want a full-size bed quilt, so this is a laptop. She requested the colors and I found the pattern in a magazine I subscribe to. I tried to make it look as varied as possible, although I didn't use a whole bunch of different fabric types. | Autumn table runner (10-2009) |

| When Mark and I got the king-sized bed I didn't have a quilt big enough for it, so I began this one. But it needed to be just right, so I went in search of the fight pattern, the right colors, and the right fabric. This is the result. There's a lot of hand-quilting all over the quilt, as well, which would explain more about how long it took to make than the time it took to piece it--I've been working on it a little over 2 years. | Same pattern as the patriotic quilt below, I added another row to make it large enough to be a lap quilt size. I also followed the pattern's design for the stars to be white instead of blue (like I did with the other one). This one was for a friend. |

| For my brother Jeff's wedding in August 2006. His bride chose the colors and pattern (even sending me a drawing). | My first log cabin quilt. Made from scraps donated to the Humanitarian group at church. This will be donated to the LDS Humanitarian organization. |

| Carter's birthday quilt. It's a twin-size and the colors quite bright. Usually I don't quilt in such bright colors, but the pattern was bright and I like how it turned out. Carter seems to like it, anyway. I found it in this book. | A wallhanging I made for my cousin's wedding. Once I'm not so overloaded with projects, I'm going to make myself one of these. |

| I made this for Amber's birthday. It has appliqued ponies, stars, hearts, flowers, and butterflies on it. (She really likes pink and yellow.) | Wedding gift for my brother Casey and his wife Katie. The pattern is called "goosetracks." |

Lisa's birthday present. It's a wall hanging (about
24" x 24"). It was hard to do considering how I didn't have
a pattern--it was chosen from a picture in a book. It's a variation
on the "Texas Star" or "Bethlaham Star" pattern.
|
A patriotic wall hanging for over the stairs. It
fills in the blank space nicely (it's much larger than the quilt to
the left, about 44" x 44"). The stars are based on the "Ohio
Star" pattern.

My autumn wall hanging.
|
Wall hanging I made for my mother for her birthday.
The chicken and parts of the barn are appliqued. The left-top square
is a "Nine-Patch" and the bottom-right is a "Churn
Dash" pattern.

The
quilt I made for my sister Carrie's wedding. My most challenging pattern
to date. Carrie chose the pattern and colors and I chose the fabric.
|
I
did a lot of hand-stitching on this one. It's a "Texas Star"
pattern.

This
is a wall-hanging (about 25" x 25"). It's a 'reverse' applique,
which means I sewed the appliqued pieces from the back of the main
fabric instead of on top.

This
I made for my brother Conrad's wedding. I did it in a quick 2 months
(the length of the engagement). These are Sarah's favorite colors.
They liked Alan's quilt (below) so much they wanted the same pattern.
As you can see, colors make all the difference.

A
child's blanket I made for my friend Amy when her little boy was born.

Quilt
for Alan and Melanie--Mark's brother. A very bold quilt (you should
see it in person). The pattern is called "Bow Tie."

I
designed this one myself. It's for my friend Rebecca--a very late
wedding present.

| I made this quilt for my sister-in-law because she was getting married. You can see that it's similar to the pinkish one below, but I did the edge different. | |

| I made this quilt during my sophomore year in college. I wish I had done the stiching differently--it was only after I started that I realized how hard the pattern was. Notice the unique edges. | |

I
found this design in a book and made it for my mother-in-law. Some
of the colors don't come out quite right online. It's a very patriotic-colored
quilt.
|
This
pattern was taken from the same book as the quilt to the left (see
upper-right hand sqare). I gave it to Mark as a wedding present.

This
was my first major quilt project. I made it my senior year in high
school for my hope chest. Because the pieces are larger, my main focus
was on the hand-stitching.
|
This
is a baby quilt I made from leftover fabric from previous quilts.
